CASE STUDY
1st floor extension
The client asked Edenholme to assess the possibility to erect a 1st floor extension to an existing dwelling the client brief stipulated:-
◦ Building over existing 1st floor extension of the dwelling.
◦ Install bedroom, bathroom facilities.
◦ The extension must be accessible from the existing landing.
◦ The works should have a minimal impact on the existing ground floor living space.
Edenholme proposed a 1st floor timber framed structure new floor was added and used Lattice Posi-joist floor joists placed over existing flat roof.
Timber framed structure was detailed by Edenholme and checked by consulting Eng. Richard Mace Assoc. who provided all engineering support to the project.

Demolition of redundant structure
A local youth charity requested help in refurbishing its headquarters.
The 1st obstacle was to demolish a previous project of classrooms over the sanitary facilities and to manage the deterioration of the existing structure.
Edenholme prepared detail specification for the works, obtained planning and building regulations consent and managed the entire project from start to completion

CASE STUDY
Our regular client a professional developer required a design to extend and convert an Edwardian dwelling in Lancashire into a modern family home to include recovering the existing roof with new slates, installing new windows and forming an extended Kitchen dining area with a roof light over the flat roof.
Edenholme worked with a firm of engineers in Preston to bring the developers ideas to light and present to the local authority for approval entire process took only 2 weeks to achieve, and work started on time and was completed on time and in budget.
